Harry Ireton, Ph.D
Harry Ireton, Ph. D., was a professor in the department of pediatrics and family practice at the University of Minnesota for 30 years. He authored the Child Development Review tools, two books, and the “Parents' Development" articles.
Father of two daughters and a son, he's also helped his two granddaughters, nine grandsons and two great granddaughters develop a healthy love of the river and the great outdoors.
His daughters, Bridget and Heidi, now run the family business and keep his legacy alive.
The CDR tools pioneered the use of parent report and developmental screening and assessment and helped bring the use of standardized tools to the forefront of education and health care.
Harry's passion for child development and the development of parents continued until his death in 2019.
